Located on the Atlanta BeltLine between North Avenue and Ponce de Leon Avenue is 725 Ponce, a mixed-use development by New City Properties, which included parking on the first several levels, 14 stories of office space, and a Kroger grocery store. The architects were S9 and Cooper Carry and the structural engineer was Uzun+Case, LLC. The project featured an exposed structural concrete frame with colored concrete, waterproofing admixtures, and Carbon Cure to reduce carbon footprint.  In addition, very tall columns, complex elevated amphitheater stairs, and picture framed window elements were signature design elements.  Coordination with truck access, planters, long spans, and the BeltLine created very challenging structural solutions.  Brasfield & Gorrie was the general contractor.
