SEE Awards – Call for Individual Award Entries
Eligibility
The Structural Engineers Association of Georgia is honored to offer individual recognition to highlight the significant professional contributions of its members. Nominees must be a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Georgia.
Categories of Awards
Entries will be collected for three individual categories. Please note the category numbers below when submitting your entry.
- Young Engineer of the Year
- Engineer of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
Winners will be selected for the individuals awards at the discretion of the SEAOG Board. It is possible for the Board to select multiple individuals as award recipients in a given year or to not award any individuals for a given award. Previous winners may not be resubmitted for the same award.
Young Engineer of the Year
This category is for individuals who meet the following criteria:

- Demonstrate outstanding service and commitment to the profession and association
- Involved with mentoring and development of younger members
- Exhibit technical and ethical competence
Nominees must be 35 years of age or younger on or before the submission deadline.
Engineer of the Year
This category is for individuals who meet the following criteria:

- Demonstrate outstanding service and commitment to the profession and association
- Dedicated to the advancement of the structural engineering profession
- Responsible for mentoring and development of younger members
- Display significant technical and ethical competence
Nominees must be a Structural Engineer (S.E.) licensed in the state of Georgia or a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the state of Georgia whose practice or activity is primarily in the field of structural engineering.
Lifetime Achievement Award
This category is for individuals who have made significant life-long contributions to our profession over his or her career. Character, integrity, innovation, experience, and ethics are some of the areas in which an individual should excel to be considered for this award. Contributions could originate from the fields of design, academia, regulatory, military, or any combination of these types of fields. The candidate must be a Structural Engineer (S.E.) licensed in the state of Georgia or a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the state of Georgia whose practice or activity is primarily in the field of structural engineering and have an extensive history of practice within the state of Georgia. Contributions made nationally will also be considered and encouraged.
Items to be Submitted
Note: All files must be uploaded in one compressed zip file.
- Entry Fee: $110 (Early bird special through 2/27 - $80)
- Two or more letters of recommendation
- A short bio (editable text format. 75-125 words for Young Engineer of the Year and Engineer of the Year, 200 words max. for Lifetime Achievement)
- High-resolution headshot or photograph of the nominee
- High-resolution photographs of projects from the nominee’s career (min. 4, max. 8)
- Provide credits that must be noted for all photographs
Submission of Entries
All items listed above shall be submitted via the link. All entries become the property of SEAOG and will not be returned. If the entry submitted is one of the winning entries in its category, SEAOG is hereby granted the right to use or publish entries and accompanying materials in the ENGINEERING GEORGIA magazine or other publications; and in addition, a royalty-free license is granted to SEAOG to use any copyrighted material submitted.
Submission Deadline
Submissions are currently closed. Thank you to all our nominees! Individual nominees for the 2026 SEE Awards will be reviewed by the SEAOG Board of Directors and winners announced at the SEAOG Awards Banquet on May 21! All members, engineers, and other community members are encouraged to join us to celebrate the Georgia structural engineering community!
