Outreach
SEAOG members volunteer their time and expertise via a variety of outreach programs throughout the state. Seeing real-world applications of their classroom lessons engages students in their education and introduces them to different career pathways. Volunteer structural engineers practice their leadership and communication skills while connecting with their community and recruiting new talent to the profession.

Engineers Alliance for the Arts (EAA) Started in the Bay Area of California, Engineers Alliance for the Arts' (EAA) mission is to provide students with the experience of working with a design professional inside the classroom and create an opportunity for the students to lean a wide variety of skills, including problem solving, team building, developing presentations, and written and verbal skills. The goals of EAA is to target, inspire, and educate tomorrow's leaders in structural engineering and related technical fields by modeling an exciting curriculum that impacts both academic and artistic area of study. Locally, the EAA program is facilitated by a teacher at Cross Keys High School. Engineers come into the classroom once a week during the semester to serve as mentors, helping each student team over the course of their projects. Occasionally, Engineers also present on some of the topics covered as part of the project.
