The 2026-2027 nominees for the Board of Directors were solicited from general membership and chosen by an ad hoc Nominating Committee. Per Bylaws, this slate shall be ratified by a majority vote of the General Members prior to July 1.

President Stephen Richards, PE, SE Associate Principal Uzun + Case	SEAOG: Current Vice President. Past Secretary, Treasurer, Young Member Group Board Member and Chair, Structural Engineering Excellence Awards Committee Chair NCEES: Structural Exam Committee Member ASCE 7-28: Main Committee Associate Member, Wind Loads Subcommittee Associate Member	I'm looking forward to working with the incoming board to continue to develop our programming, provide opportunities for our membership to get involved in SEAOG, and serve our SEAOG membership.
Vice President Christopher Murphy, PE Associate Principal Stability Engineering	SEAOG: Current Treasurer, SEER Committee, Programs Committee Former GT DeKalb Alumni Network Vice President	I look forward to the opportunity to continue to advance the structural engineering profession here in Georgia and support our membership across the state, including both metro-Atlanta and non-metro area members. I am also committed to continuing to expand our SEER Committee’s activity and involvement in emergency response operations and preparedness for potential deployments following natural disasters in the Southeast region.
Treasurer Kyle Manweiler, PE, SE Senior Associate Walter P Moore	SEAOG: Board of Directors and Programs Committee Chair Led WPM's internal firm wide Construction Administration Task Force which focuses on improving efficiency during the CA phase of projects.	Planning events for members that will continue to educate and inspire our region's structural engineers and improve our industry. I'm excited to see what this upcoming year has in store for SEAOG.
Secretary Morgan Neal, PE Senior Structural Engineer Shear Structural	SEAOG: Current Board of Directors and Newsletter Chair Howard University Alumni Chapter, Princeton Alumni Chapter.	I look forward to supporting the behind the scenes work that keeps our chapter organized and connected, and to contributing in a way that helps the Board and our members stay informed and engaged.
Director John McFarland, PE Sales Engineer Nucor \| Vulcraft	SEAOG: Current Publicity Committee Chair, past presenter	I’m looking forward to growing our education outreach program with local schools and volunteer organizations, especially to underserved communities who don’t have the same access to STEM education.
