Event Recap

TINDALL PLANT TOUR
Last week, SEAOG members toured the local Tindall production plant in Conley, GA. Members learned about some of the precast concrete solutions and production methods, including modular cells for the state penitentiary, as well as conventional precast concrete wall panels and T-slab joists. Members also got to check out the prototype wind turbine base structure on site. Thanks to Tindall for hosting and being a valued partner and company sponsor of SEAOG!

Publicity Committee Update

RECAP
On Thursday, 3/19, SEAOG attended STEM Night at Bethlehem Elementary School in Barrow County. We offered hands-on engineering activities for kids and their parents.
On Saturday, 3/21, SEAOG sponsored a booth at Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day in partnership with ACEC Georgia. We had an incredible turnout of K-5th graders building a variety of unique paper towers. The tallest successful structure was able to hold the jar of coins an impressive 22” above the ground. It was a fantastic experience, and we’re looking forward to doing more STEM outreach this year!
